Let's be honest: our work is frustrating and stressful. Even with all great things that happen through out the day, it is not that simple to keep your mood up and energy high. It is hard to feel harmony, when you had to deal with up to 200 kids daily. Sometimes I feel like I spend whole day in juicer, and then was stomped by couple of elephants and hippos.;)
Long time I was thinking, that it is absolutly OK to feel horrible after I step out of the school porch. I thought if I fell so, it means that I acomplished a lot.
But no. Girls and boys, no. Just no.
It led me only to having any desire to wake up next day and crawl to my destination, and having that "I hope you'll burn" sight in my eyes when somebody says "Good Morning".
Here is the deal (I realized that hard way): relaxing is vital. Here are some tips for relax after long days of hard working, that were tested and aproved by me;)
1. Get rid of technology. For at list an hour.
Turn off your working phone and leave all the social media to hang. The planet won't stop rotating and sky won't fall. Socialization is cool but oversocialization is a mess.
2. Have a good walk (my personal fave)
Look around. Stretch your back. Take some photos ;)
3. Squeeze a Stress Ball, jam some Squishies or crunch a Bendy.
It's quite popular now trend and a real decent one, dare I say. When we are stressed, we need to do something with our hands (that is why a lot of people bite their nails, when they are nervous) so squeezins some plushies, special balls or just rolling a pencil in between palms of your hands will be helpful.
By the way, you can also try stepping on a golfball. Ticklish and deffinetly cool! :)
4. Create Zen Zone.
It is a zone where you can sit quietlyfor some time with nobody distorbing you.
That needs a little bit of preparation if you are a visual person like me. But honestly, creating a "nowhere" zone somwhere in your house is worth it.
5. Just dance.
Use your favorite music! Close the door and turn your inner Michael Jackson on.
6. Cuddle with your pet if you have one (another fave ;) ).
7. LOL
Laughing and smiling watching randome cat video or reading hillarious Stephen Fry is priceless. Treet yourself with it!
8. Snack it crunchy: really?
Eat some chocolate, because it's cool. And something crunchy (anything, not only crackers).
There is a science behind it. Google it ;)
9. Sip some green tea or coffee
Depends on what you prefer more. Some say to stick to a healthier option, I choose coffee all day all night though ;) For me it's more about process not actual beverage.
And if it all fails...
10. Take a nap.
Sleeping makes everything better ;)
Have a nice relax!
